Jingle & Mingle Stamp Camp!

I've put the finishing touches on my all day Christmas Stamp Camp and I'm thrilled with the projects offered in four classes.

All classes are on October 29th and will be held at the Burnaby Lake Sports Complex West starting at 9:30 am.

 

Vintage Christmas Cards - $25 - 9:30 am; 11:30 am or 2:00 pm

Stampin' Up! Vintage Style!

Hello Stampers,

I love vintage stamps and collage style stamping.  I'm holding a class where all the cards have a vintage feel to them.

I love the Established Elegance stamp set and the Mocha Morning Speciality Designer Paper.  I'm using it in two cards in this class - the flocked paper and the metallic one - just gorgeous!

The other cards feature Simply Soft, Field Flowers, French Foliage and more!

Stampin' Up! Founder's Circle - Final Event

Hello Stampers,

Our last full day was relaxing as most of the day we spend sharing, laughing, lying by the pool and eating!  I had so much fun hanging out with my closest friends and some new ones like Amy Celana who ROCKS at computer stuff.  She fixed up all my little issues with Facebook and more!  And my friend Susan Patterson taught me some awesome MDS tricks.  Love these girls!  Here's some pictures that I hope capture the mood of the Hospitality Suite. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In the afternoon we headed out to a surprise location - a Golf Course where we got into Golf Carts and tore around the course going from one fun activity to the other.  Like hitting a marshmallow with a club; trivia challenges and fastest stamper!  We had a blast.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We had an awesome team - called the Creamed Teas - and included Kate Creasey, Colleen Magness, Lynsay Mahon, Maggie Patterson, Lori Staley and Terry Wise.  Great group of women!

Sadly it all had to come to an end.  The last pillow gift was probably my favourite.  Here's a picture of it. 

The memories of this trip will last a lifetime - what a blessing to be part of such a great company!

Stampin' Up! Founder's Circle - Day 4

Hello Stampers,

Sorry for the delay in my Founder's Circle update.  My computer drive was FULL and I couldn't upload my pictures until I got home and my techno-genius husband fixed it all up for me.

We left off headed to see The Little Mermaid at a wonderful outdoor theatre called Tulachan.

Here we are waiting for the sun to go down so the performance can start.  In the background you see the beautiful red hills that form the backdrop for the theatre.  It's amazing!  The stage was flooded with water so you felt like you were under the sea with Ariel.

My friends are Karen Duke, Janet Wakeland, Colleen Vassos and me at the end!

 

 

Me as Sebastian, Colleen as Eric and Karen as Ariel.  I think we'll keep our day jobs.

Founder's Circle - Day 3!

Hello Stampers,

Today was the day I most look forward to on the trip.  We visit the manufacturing facilities at Kanab, Utah, about a 2 hours bus trip.  Along the way we share ideas with Shelli Gardner (the CEO) and play Bingo and other game for prizes - I was lucky to win some Glitter Brads!

When we arrive at Kanab we are greeted by the employees - we get off the bus to them cheering and waving and holding signs thanking us!  Can you imagine?  You feel like a rock star - very emotional to feel the outpouring of gratitude for the demonstrators!

 

 

 

 

 

 

We toured the plant and learn how stamps are made (no pictures allowed) and this year we received a gift of one of the brand new stamp sets from the upcoming Occasions Mini!  So fun!  We got to cut, die-cut and package our own sets.

Next we visit a local park that has been refurbished by Stampin' Up! for the community.  The playground itself is made of the left over rubber from the manufacturing process.  It's soft to land in and is a wonderful use for recycled materials.  Here's Colleen and I playing in the rubber.

 

 

 

 

 

Then we have our lovely picnic lunch - check out the picnic baskets this year! Adorable!

Next we are back on the bus and heading back to St. George.

 

 

 

 

 

Today we are visiting a wonderful outdoor theatre to see a production of "The Little Mermaid" - a busy but fun day!  This was our pillow gift last night - goodies for our play!

Founder's Circle - Day 2

Hello Stampers,

We are having a wonderful time at Founder's in St. George. Here are some pictures of our adventures.

Each day we can visit the Hospitality Suite which is set up as a bakery.  There is a daily sweet and lots of candy to choose from too.  Hope I can fit in my clothes when I get home.

This is also where we can come anytime to hang out with friends, play Plinko (for daily prizes) and work on our make n' takes.

This was our PJ Swap Party.  We shared business ideas and then swapped our cards!  I have 120 beautiful cards to share with you over the next few months at my events.

Here we are waiting for the event to begin (in our PJ's of course!) - Megan Davies, Diana Gibbs, Colleen Vassos and myself.

Stampin' Up! gave us beautiful journals made using our MDS software - so cute!

Founder's CIrcle - Day 1

Hello Stampers,

I'm in St. George, Utah for the Stampin' Up! Founder's Circle incentive trip.  It's a bit cool but such a beautiful setting.

When I got to my room I was greeted with this door decoration.  The theme seems to be "Tea Time" with a lovely vintage feel.  I just know we are going to be spoiled.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

At dinner our places were marked with a lovely china tea cup with roses.  Stampin' Up! just pays attention to every little detail and you feel very appreciated.

Now I'm ready for bed and for tomorrow's exciting events.  When I got to my room there was this lovely "crafty" box waiting filled with our make n' take stamp set and other goodies - all new and coming in future catalogues.

Thanks to all my downline, my wonderful customers, my sisters (and fellow SU demonstrators) and my wonderful family for all their support in helping me succeed in my business which I love!

2012 Calendar using My Digital Studio

Hello Stampers,

I love My Digital Studios and took several classes on how to use it at Convention.  I'm hoping to pick up some more tips at Founder's Circle this week.

One of the projects we made at Convention was a 2012 Calendar using MDS and traditional embellishments.  This is what we call a hybrid project.

I'll be teaching this class on Saturday, October 22nd at 10:30 am.  I will need to print the calendars (professional print service from Stampin' Up!) so I will need your RSVP by October 6th so that I can place the order in time for class.

In the class we will add embellishments to finish the catalogue and then spend some time learning some of the tips and techniques used to create the calendar.

Jingle & Mingle Stamp Camp

Hello Stampers,

I'm just getting ready to leave for Founder's Circle in St. George, Utah.  It's a fabulous retreat with the other 14 Demonstrators of the Year from Canada and 100 from the US.  This is such a wonderful trip and I'm looking forward to sharing, learning and relaxing!

I wanted to give you the heads up about my Jingle & Mingle Stamp Camp in October.  It will a full day of stamping and sharing all with a Christmas Theme.

Here's the details (so far!)

Date:    Saturday, October 29th
Time:    9:30 am - 4:30 pm
Venue:  Burnaby Lake Sports Complex West, 3677 Kensington Avenue, Burnaby
Format:  I'll be offered three classes - you can take all three, just 2 or just 1 - whatever you feel you have the stamina for in a day.

One class will be a traditional Christmas Card class (samples will be coming soon); they'll also be a cool class using the Simply Scrappin' Kit and Accents and finally a really fun 3D project that you'll be able to pull out year after year....here's the picture of that project...

Isn't this Christmas Advent Calendar fabulous!  It's featured in the current Holiday Mini and we are going to make it in a full 3 hour class. 

The class includes all the precut materials (there is lots of labour getting this class cut) plus the frame.

This would be a lovely heirloom for yourself, your children or grandchildren.

The cost of this class will be $50 and includes all the materials!

Space is limited because of the number of frames I have on hand.  The finished size is 12 x 12.

 

The other classes will be featured in future posts when I get home from Founder's.
